Florida Tech is a national, private, not-for-profit, technological, coeducational, doctoral-granting, research-intensive university. Founded in 1958, the campus is located on 130 subtropical acres in the City of Melbourne on Florida's "Space Coast," Florida Tech’s campus includes various academic, athletic, residential, dining, recreational, performance, administrative and multi-use facilities.

There are over 120 registered student organizations at Florida Tech, ranging from student government to cultural and ethnic organizations to club sports. We think that there is something for everyone! 

Florida Tech is a member of NCAA Division II. It is home to 20 intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports teams, which play as the Florida Tech Panthers. Most teams participate in the competitive Sunshine State Conference. Florida Tech’s football team competes in the renowned Gulf South Conference.

The university has won five NCAA National Championships, including two in men’s soccer, two in women’s golf and one individual relay title in men’s swimming. The Athletic Department has also accumulated four championships at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta.

Florida Tech offers over 60 programs in four colleges - the College of Engineering & Science, the Bisk College of Business, the College of Aeronautics and the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts. Our most popular majors include aerospace and mechanical engineering, aeronautical science, business administration and forensic psychology.
