The founder of FlipLok LLC started their company in 2021. It began as a woman-owned small business based in Houston, Texas. Their goal for the company was to make places like schools, businesses, and public areas safer through innovative door locking technology.

In developing FlipLok's patented, Automatic Door Locks (ADA Compliant), which can be easily installed, FlipLok’s focus has been on providing an easy-to-use, automatic, door locking solution for emergencies. The company’s design has made it easier for doors to become secure quickly. By using a single motion flip-down style locking mechanism, classrooms, offices, and all types of rooms may be converted into safe environments when rapid response is necessary.

FlipLok’s management team has many years of combined experience in business operations, door locking systems, and protecting windows with specialized films. Although FlipLok is relatively new, they have expanded by installing locks at schools, childcare centers, private entities, and safety-conscious organizations throughout the United States. To date, over 50 educational and institutional clients have received locks and installation services from FlipLok; this includes several multi-campus school district projects.
